Woodland Phlox
Scientific name: Phlox divaricata
Woodland phlox’s native range in Florida is limited to the middle of the Panhandle. It is a perennial that spreads via rhizome. It likes full to partial shade and soil that is somewhat moist to soil that experiences short dry periods. Like milkweeds, the plants of this species cannot pollinate themselves as an adaptation against inbreeding.
I have carried this species a bit in the past, and that stock had bigger leaves and flowers. The stock I have now is finer.
Size: assorted small pots
