Scientific name: Asclepias verticillata
Whorled milkweed is a Florida native found in all counties except Monroe. Flowers are white. It likes sandy soil and full to partial sun.
Florida Native Plant Society says it likes moist soil (with occasional water inundation) to soil that is neither wet nor extremely dry. Based on this, I tried planting a healthy one in a moist, mulched planter last year, and it died. The individual I got these seeds from has said they like it more dry, and has had success growing them. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center says they like it dry.
This is a larval host for monarch butterflies.
Size: assorted small pots
