Scientific name: Asclepias viridis

Green milkweed has a sporadic range in Florida, currently found in only ten counties across the state (the Keys, Dade, Flagler, Lake, Sumter, Hernando, Citrus, Levy, Gadsden, & Liberty). It likes sun and its moisture requirement is low. Like other milkweeds, it is a larval host for monarch butterflies. Flowers are mostly offwhite with some pinkish/purple.
